A love for realistic painting began as a young boy living in a small northern Michigan town. Thomas spent his boyhood wandering the woods and fishing the streams as he became one with nature. His adventures with wildlife created a strong connection and with that connection, he desired to recreate all he experienced by transferring it into art.

As he became a young man and found himself traveling to other places like Scotland, his inspiration for painting grew. Thomas spent many hours recreating his travel memories with paint and canvas. The more he painted, the more inspired he became. His love for detail and precise color is more than quite apparent in each and every piece he creates. He spends hundreds of hours on most of his paintings getting the colors and details just right. There is no question Thomas has become an incredibly skilled and self taught artist. He will often be requested to take someone else’s photo memory and recreate it into a custom oil painting.
